The Meiso Collection from Bentley Brings Spiritual Nature into (Carpet) Design
More than ever, people are craving a retreat from reality. Though we may not be able to travel physically right now, we can transport our minds – to better, happier, healthier places. Harnessing the power of design, and nature, to restore, heal and help improve health and wellness, Bentley introduces The Meiso Collection. Its three patterns – Root™, Roam™ and Ponder™ – inspired by Japan’s Sagano Bamboo Forest bring a sense of peace and positivity to all installations, including corporate interiors and senior living spaces.
Abstract and textural, Root is a smaller-scale pattern that mimics pea-gravel pathways that ground, and guide, your walk through the forest. Roam, a sophisticated and artistic linear pattern, reimagines the bamboo stalks that line the forest. Ponder captures the forest canopy with a sophisticated botanical pattern, reflecting both the light and shadows from above.

The idea of bringing these sensations into interiors is one that excited our design team. It was this location, and these senses, that inspired this Collection.”
The Meiso Collection’s colorline borrows from the traditional meanings of the variety of hues found within Japanese culture. Root, Roam and Ponder are available in a palette of 12 warm, nurturing tones. Designed to perform, the products are made with Antron® Lumena™ Type 6,6 Solution-Dyed Nylon and feature the latest in tufting and color technology. The products are available in 18-inch x 36-inch and 24-inch square carpet tiles and 12-foot, 6-inch broadloom, and backed by NexStep® Cushion Tile, AFIRMA II™ Hardback Tile, EliteFlex 6ft Cushion, EliteFlex 6ft Hardback, and High PerformancePC Broadloom backings.
Products in the Meiso Collection are Cradle to Cradle Certified™, NSF® 140 certified, CRI Green Label Plus certified and produced in a LEED®-EB:OM Gold-certified manufacturing facility. Along with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Health Product Declarations (HPDs), the products also feature the Declare® label and have achieved LBC Compliant status through the Living Building Challenge.
