ASID IL Design Excellence Awards – Call for Entries

Organization Honors 40 Years of Excellence with Celebratory Theme

The American Society of Interior Designers – Illinois Chapter (ASID-IL) is now accepting entries for the 13th annual Interior Design Excellence Award Competition. In celebration of ASID IL’s 40th Anniversary, this year’s program will highlight the “Design Heroes” that have influenced the art, craft and history of local commercial and residential design by creating inspiring and beautiful spaces.

All ASID Professional Members, Allied Members, Associate Members, Industry Partner Members, ASID Student Chapter Members and IIDA Members, as well as non-members of ASID or IIDA who are registered interior designers in the state of Illinois, are eligible and encouraged to participate. Winners will be announced at the ASID-IL annual awards program, Celebration of Design. The Celebration of Design will be hosted on Friday, Sept. 16, at Chez in River North, Chicago.

Awards categories will remain the same as the 2015 event and all entrants will be required to include a headshot with their entry. Additionally, those eligible will be able to re-submit projects that have not yet won an award. Non-members who win a 2016 Design Excellence Award must become an ASID or IIDA member to enter the competition in 2017 and beyond.

Submissions Open: Monday, April 18 at 12 p.m.

Deadline for entries: Friday, June 24 at 5 p.m.

Celebration of Design Gala: Friday, Sept. 16
