Arteriors, a leading provider of luxury lighting, furniture, wall décor and accessories, in conjunction with its ownership at Norwest Equity Partners, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Hart as the brand’s new CEO.
Hart most recently served as CEO of Luminaire, a leading national design retailer of contemporary European furnishings headquartered in Miami. He began his new role January 2nd and will relocate to the Dallas area later this year.
As a business leader with a proven 28-year track record across the luxury design space, Hart has driven the growth of noted global brands across each key channel of distribution catering to the design trades. These successes, coupled with his expertise in the lighting and furnishing sectors, made him the perfect fit for the role.
Prior to his work with Luminaire, Hart served as Co-CEO of Michigan-based luxury custom rug manufacturer Scott Group Studio. He spent the majority of his career with Kohler Company where he progressed through a variety of roles, beginning as Director of Sales for Ann Sacks Tile & Stone, and then advancing to President of Ann Sacks, President of McGuire Furniture, and Chief Creative Officer of the Kohler Interiors Group, which also included Baker Furniture, Kallista and Robern. Under his leadership, each of the businesses exceeded objectives for driving growth with new products and were recognized for their brand leadership. Hart also served as a member of Kohler’s executive management team from 1998 until his departure in 2016.
A priority area of focus for Hart in his new role with Arteriors will be examining and identifying opportunities in operations and logistics, spanning 70 factories across 13 countries in three continents.
Tony Armand, Partner of Norwest Equity Partners, said: “We are thrilled to bring John Hart onboard as the new CEO of Arteriors. After an extensive search, we’re confident his passion for the category and results-driven leadership will be a strong complement to our seasoned executive leadership team. We look forward to the counsel, strategy, and vision he’ll bring to this industry-leading brand, all with a fresh perspective to take Arteriors to the next level.”
Hart said: “I’ve had a deep admiration and affinity for the Arteriors brand throughout my career, and it’s truly an honor to be selected for this role.
