Arper’s Collaboration with Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure© Exhibition Opens in LA

Arper, the global design brand that creates furnishings for the way people want to live, has partnered with the Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure© Exhibition a second time for a highly anticipated Los Angeles debut.

After a successful run in New York City last year, the Basquiat exhibition will be on display in Los Angeles through July 31 at The Grand LA. Organized and curated by the family of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the show features over 200 works that had never been seen before, including paintings, drawings, ephemera and artifacts by the renowned artist.

Working closely with the exhibition designer, Adjaye Associates, Arper outfitted the space to recreate the original feeling of the Michael Todd VIP Room at the iconic nightclub Palladium, for which Jean-Michel created two paintings. Arper commissioned custom finishes of their classic collections for the space including Mixu, Steeve, Pix, Wim and Ply in dark colors and Maharam Studio fabrics.
