Arcadia introduces Flipside Kids, a playful extension of the Flipside modular adult bench series designed specifically for children’s environments. Thoughtfully scaled and full of character, the design brings adaptable comfort to areas where curiosity, creativity, and movement are always in motion.
Designed by Gemma Bernal, the series carries forward the light, minimalist aesthetic that defines the original Flipside. Fully upholstered two- and three-seat benches with backs can be specified individually or arranged in modular configurations with connecting tables to suit a variety of layouts. Clean-outs between cushions help maintain tidiness, while suspension webbing and a passive-flex backrest provide lasting comfort. A 14-inch seat height is scaled specifically for children, resulting in seating that feels approachable and welcoming.
In addition to its comfort-focused design, the collection is engineered to support the everyday demands of kid-focused activity. Rear legs feature an anti-tip device for added stability, while tamper-resistant floor-mount hardware is available for higher-traffic applications. Together, these details ensure lasting performance in active settings.
Connecting tables—including corner, 12-inch, and 17-inch options—add further versatility, offering convenient surfaces for reading, drawing, games, or quiet play. Tabletops are available in white oak veneer, laminate, Corian®, and Fenix®, while the slender metal base can be specified in Arcadia’s standard and premium finishes, allowing the series to be tailored to a wide variety of interiors.
