Arcadia Introduces Brink Barstools – Barstools Light in Scale but Substantial in Every Other Way

Arcadia introduces Brink, a contemporary collection of counter and bar-height stools that meets the demand of high-end design, while creating a welcome atmosphere that beckons all to come and be.

Featuring a slender, yet substantial, flowing wood seat, its curvilinear form is precisely crafted without seams to create a natural display of form and function. This artisan-quality continues throughout the slender metal frame, providing durability without bulkiness.

Designed by Andrew Gower, an award-winning product designer and principal of Zoose Design in Ashland, Oregon, Brink was the result of a longstanding desire for both companies to work together on a project. Although more recognized for his soft seating and table designs, Gower was up to the challenge of creating a new stool series for Arcadia, a product category that at the time was very limited in its offering.

“As the popularity of our 42-inch height meeting tables continued to rise, it was evident that additional seating options were needed, not only to complement these table collections, but to work equally well by themselves,” states Helen Kim, Arcadia’s Director of Marketing. “Gower’s keen eye for details and simplicity, together with his methodical approach to design, is evident in Brink and we couldn’t be more pleased.”

A versatile palette of finish options accompany the series, ensuring specifications can be achieved with ease. The continuously curved seat is available in Beech, Walnut and White Oak, in all standard and custom finishes and can also be complemented with an upholstered seat pad for added comfort or mixed material preferences.

The metal base can be finished in any of Arcadia’s standard offering, or for the more adventurous, select from eight premium colors, several of which are bright and bold for making the ultimate statement.

Offered in both 27-inch, counter height and 30-inch, bar-height, Brink is ideal for application in and beyond the corporate, education, and hospitality markets. Whether in collective areas, informal meeting spots, breakrooms, or multipurpose areas, the two height options allow maximum flexibility in table and countertop styles while offering modern design continuity throughout spaces.

For more than thirty years, Arcadia has been dedicated to new product development and a breadth and depth of high quality seating and tabling solutions for large and small companies alike. Dynamic in environments ranging from corporate, educational, healthcare, hospitality and retail spaces to government institutions, airport and club lounges, and more, Arcadia’s product collections are introduced each year at the NeoCon World Fair in Chicago and remain on display in Arcadia’s permanent showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart (Suite #340).
