Allsteel’s 345 N. Morgan Experience Center Achieves LEED Gold Certification

Joining the Ranks of Leading Sustainable and Innovative Buildings

Allsteel, a leading manufacturer of workplace furnishings, is thrilled to announce its state-of-the-art Experience Center located on the 3rd floor of 345 N. Morgan has officially achieved LEED Gold certification, solidifying its position among a select group of sustainable and forward-thinking buildings. This recognition underscores Allsteel’s commitment to environmental responsibility, innovation, and dedication to fostering a greener future.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification, awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is a testament to Allsteel creating high-performing, sustainable spaces that contribute positively to the environment and the well-being of occupants. Allsteel’s Experience Center, which is located in the vibrant neighborhood of Fulton Market in Chicago, opened its doors in June 2023, and showcases how environmentally conscious architectural design can positively impact both aesthetics and sustainability in urban spaces.

LEED-certified projects are required to meticulously track and report energy and water consumption data over a span of five years, ensuring ongoing compliance with sustainable practices. Moreover, the reporting also encompasses waste management, transportation initiatives, and enhancing the human experience within the building. The LEED Gold certification also aligns with essential Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals. By focusing on continuous performance, Allsteel enhances building efficiency, lowers operational costs, and increases asset value – all while contributing to the broader community’s well-being.

“Throughout the entire design process of our Experience Center at 345 N. Morgan, we were focused on creating a space that promotes collaboration, one that aligns with our commitment to sustainability, and supports our clients and the design community in their endeavors,” says Jennifer Petersen, Allsteel Vice President of Marketing. “The LEED Certification is the culmination of all of those attributes, and was a true team effort.”

Allsteel’s 345 Experience Center is now part of an elite group of LEED GOLD-certified spaces that are leading the way in sustainable architecture and construction practices. This achievement serves as an inspiration to industry peers, stakeholders, and investors, illustrating the profound positive impact that can arise from combining innovation, environmental stewardship, and corporate responsibility.
