AJ Madison Showcases Micro Loft Installation at BKLYN DESIGNS

Leading Appliance Retailer Joins Forces with Local Designers to Showcase Innovative Small Space Living Solutions

AJ Madison, the Brooklyn-based “appliance authority”, is pleased to announce a special collaboration with BKLYN DESIGNS 2016 – Brooklyn’s premier design fair focused exclusively on creativity in the borough. From May 6-8, AJ Madison will be prominently featured in the BKLYN DESIGNS Micro Loft – an on-site installation at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint. The 500 square-foot space, designed by AphroChic, will be a hub of programming and design inspiration for trade and consumer attendees. The Micro Loft will serve as AJ Madison’s venue to showcase its unique role in both the Brooklyn and national market during NYCxDESIGN, and will display a cutting-edge Bosch solution in an installation showcasing the way home appliances can be used for efficient, small space living.

According to Philippe Meyersohn, AJ Madison, “We were excited to work with the BKLYN DESIGNS’s team and the designers from AphroChic, because at AJ Madison, we are committed to being an active partner in the design process. This event is the perfect moment to showcase our solution-focused approach, engage with the local community and announce our new Kitchen Design Group. The Kitchen Design Group is a team of specialists that can assist the design trade with any projects from small spaces to large.”

The BKLYN DESIGNS Micro Loft will illustrate how even the smallest spaces can have the very best in Brooklyn style. Designed by Jeanine Hays and Bryan Mason of the Brooklyn-based design company, AphroChic, the loft will feature an AJ Madison state-of-the-art kitchen appliance solution for a micro space, and a range of modular furnishings from Resource Furniture as well as textiles, art and accessories that will bring the exhibit to life. To give show attendees a real experience of what can be accomplished within small square footage, a variety of programming will be held over the course of the show – from chef demonstrations to one-on-one consultations with Kickstarter for Brooklyn’s entrepreneurial design community.

Jeanine Hays, Partner at AphroChic adds, “Our design concept was full-sized living in an undersized space. What we want to convey to attendees and visitors is the idea that everything they might hope to do in a larger space is still possible, even in a Micro Loft. AJ Madison’s appliance solutions for small space kitchens bring the cooking capabilities of a full-sized kitchen to homes with half the size or less.”

Programming in the BKLYN DESIGNS Micro Loft and nearby Resource Furniture Theater featuring AJ Madison will include:
