AIS: All 700 People Under One Solar Paneled Roof
Administrative workers have now joined the factory teams in one location
AIS Inc. announced today all 700 AIS employees are now under one 600,000 SF solar paneled rooftop in Leominster, Massachusetts. The recently renovated factory and office space is headquarters to the $175M office furniture company that proudly calls New England its home.
“Our factory teams moved in last year and now the administrative group has settled in,” said Bruce Platzman, President, CEO and Co-founder of AIS. “It’s been a several year journey for our growing company and I’m pleased to have all of us together in this facility.”
In 1990, AIS began in downtown Boston and then moved to Hudson, Massachusetts two years later. In 2013, AIS began exploring a new facility to support its growth. After exploring many options in different states, AIS chose to stay in Massachusetts where its roots are deep. The Leominster facility AIS now occupies sat vacant for over ten years before AIS moved in.
AIS will host many customer and dealer visitors in the new Leominster headquarters as it showcases the extensive offering of systems, desking, casegoods, tables, and seating manufactured there.
AIS partnered with Nelson Architects in Boston for the interior design of the showroom and office spaces.
