A New ERA for the Private Office: DeskMakers Expands ERA Collection with Fixed Height Casegoods

DeskMakers announces the expansion of its ERA private office collection with the introduction of ERA Casegoods, a fixed height platform that brings the collection’s sculptural design language to a broader range of applications. Designed by Ryan Mora, ERA now offers both height-adjustable and fixed-height solutions—reframing the private office as a space that is both expressive and intentional.

Originally launched as a height-adjustable collection, now known as ERA Executive, the ERA line introduced a softer, more fluid approach to private office design. With the addition of ERA Casegoods, the collection evolves into a complete system, offering flexibility in both performance and planning while maintaining a consistent visual language.

Rooted in soft curves, dynamic angles, and refined proportions, ERA challenges the rigidity of traditional casegoods. Desktop options including rectangle, dive board, and shark fin shapes feature a signature knife-edge and radius detail that gives the collection its sculptural character. Wall-mounted panels, floating shelves, tackboards, writable glass, and slatted accents create layered environments that feel architectural rather than applied.

ERA Casegoods builds on this foundation with a modular, “build-as-you-go” approach to the private office. The platform pairs fixed-height worksurfaces with integrated storage, wardrobes, and architectural elements, allowing designers to create tailored environments that balance function, personality, and budget. The result is a workspace that feels settled and composed, while still offering flexibility across footprints and applications.

Technology integration remains central across both platforms. Thoughtful wire management is embedded throughout the system, including pass-through notches, scalloped cutouts, detachable modesty panels for access, and integrated power solutions within storage. These details ensure that the workspace remains visually clean while supporting the demands of modern work.

“I’m always drawn to the tension between soft and structured forms,” said designer Ryan Mora. “With ERA, the curves help break up the rigidity you often see in private office furniture, while the geometry keeps it grounded. That balance is what gives the collection its character.”

“The expansion of ERA reflects how we think about the private office today,” said Phil Polishook, CEO of DeskMakers. “We’re moving beyond individual products and thinking more holistically about how spaces come together. ERA reflects that direction, offering a more complete private office solution with the flexibility to support different ways of working.”

With its retro-modern sensibility and emphasis on warmth, ERA moves away from the expected. It introduces a more human approach to the private office—one that supports focus and performance while allowing for individuality and expression.

Whether specified as a fixed-height workspace or a height-adjustable executive office, ERA offers a unified design language that adapts to a wide range of users, industries, and environments.

Design-driven and highly configurable, ERA represents an evolution in DeskMakers’ approach to casegoods—expanding beyond function to create spaces that feel considered, personal, and complete.
