Made by Vermont-based Built by Newport using North American hardwoods from responsibly managed forests, Haven is a testament to Room & Board’s decades-long tradition of partnering with small, family-owned manufacturing partners across the United States.
By combining advanced CNC technology with precision joinery, the chair achieves exceptional strength and integrity without visible hardware or added reinforcement. The result is a seamless silhouette that highlights the natural beauty of solid wood while delivering everyday comfort, with a contoured seat and back that gently supports the body.

Thoughtfully proportioned at 33 inches high, 21 inches deep, and 18 inches wide with an 18-inch seat height, Haven combines a clean, architectural profile with inviting comfort. Its understated form allows it to complement a wide range of design aesthetics, while its BIFMA certification ensures the durability and safety required for high-use commercial settings. Haven is equally suited to a residential dining room, high end restaurant or café, multi-family lounge or corporate dining space.
Available in four woods – walnut, oak with salt stain, and oak with rye stain, and oak with charcoal stain, Haven highlights the natural character and warmth of American hardwoods, offering finish options that adapt to both contemporary and traditional interiors.
