Office Resources, Inc. to Acquire NYC Top Contract Furniture Provider Offices Limited, Inc.
Office Resources, Inc., a leading Knoll dealer and Boston’s premier provider of creative workspaces, announced today it has acquired fellow Knoll dealer Offices Limited, Inc., based in New York City. The purchase will enable Office Resources, Inc. to expand its design and distribution capabilities to New York City and increase its annual revenue to $110 million. With ORI’s acquisition of OLI, the combined entities will become one of the top Knoll distributors in the country.
ORI principals Kevin Barbary and Paul Fraser said “By incorporating our unique style of managing people, projects, and processes, we plan to grow the East Coast market for ORI and Knoll.”
Offices Limited, Inc., a top contract furniture dealer for more than 40 years and a founding Knoll dealer, will be rebranded as Office Resources, Inc. at the turn of the year. Offices Limited, Inc.’s location on Ninth Avenue will remain open, and Barbary said existing OLI staff will be crucial in growing the ORI brand in New York City.
Paul Fraser from ORI will manage all New York City operations, assisted by OLI Executive Vice Presidents Ed Baust and Adam Bacall. Baust and Bacall will play major roles in the rebranding and sales efforts in the New York market. Kevin Barbary will handle marketing for New York City and all of New England, while continuing ORI’s successful track record of collaboration with professionals in the architectural, real estate, and project management communities. Bruce Blueweiss, OLI dealer principal, will continue to handle new business development while OLI Vice President Karen Blueweiss will oversee financial management.
Both ORI and OLI have played major roles in building the Knoll brand on the East Coast. Both companies belong to the Knoll President’s Circle, which is comprised of the top 20 distributors by volume across the country.
Alan Howard, Knoll Sales Vice President for the Northern Division, commented “Clients come to Knoll for the products and service required to create high performance workplaces, and we look forward to the Office Resources team joining our New York Knoll dealer network. Together, these dealerships are the hub of day-to-day activity for our commercial, healthcare, education and governmental clients.”
