3form Introduces the Arboretum Collection

New Nature-Inspired Collection Expands 3form’s Organic Offerings with Biophilic Pattern, Texture, and Architectural Precision

3form, a design-driven materials solutions company known for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship, announces the launch of Arboretum, a new collection that expands the brand’s organic offerings with a refined, biophilic approach to surface design.

Inspired by the diversity of plant life found within a true arboretum, the collection translates natural texture and beauty into interior applications through a curated mix of organic interlayers, digital print, and etched glass. Spanning one-of-a-kind organic expressions and highly controlled, repeatable patterns, Arboretum gives designers new ways to bring nature indoors while maintaining a cohesive, architecturally precise design language.

“Arboretum was designed to capture the feeling of being surrounded by nature, while still meeting the practical needs of interior spaces,” said Ryan Smith, Chief Creative Officer at 3form. “By expanding our organic offerings and introducing new material applications, we’re giving designers more ways to incorporate biophilic elements into a space in a way that feels thoughtful, flexible, and architecturally resolved.”

Elevated Biophilic Design Through Material Innovation

The Arboretum collection gives designers multiple paths to achieving a nature-inspired environment, whether through hand-laid organic interlayers, etched interpretations, or hyper-real botanical imagery. That flexibility allows the collection to support a wide range of design goals, from sculptural feature moments to more subtle expressions of texture, privacy, and softness.

Arboretum includes seven products total across organic interlayers, digital print, and monolithic etched glass. The collection features three organic interlayers—Banksia, Arrow Grass, and Wild Grass—alongside one digital print, Herbarium, and three monolithic etched glass patterns: Herbarium Etch, Banksia Etch, and Arrow Grass Etch. Designers can add color to Varia, 3form’s flagship resin material, or etched 3form Glass to create a more tailored or branded space. With etched glass and digital print applications included in the collection, Arboretum also offers opportunities to explore color and scale in a range of ways.

Developed as an extension of 3form’s existing nature-inspired offerings, Arboretum builds on the success of interlayers such as Fossil Leaf and Bear Grass while introducing new options for applications where embedded organics may not be suitable. The collection brings an elevated approach to biophilic design, offering designers a diverse range of botanical expressions across resin and glass.

Designed to Support Well-Being Across Key Environments

With its calming visual language and Varia’s inherent translucency, Arboretum is designed to help create interiors that feel light-filled, grounded, and supportive of well-being. The collection is especially well-suited for healthcare, education, hospitality, and workplace environments, where calming, nature-inspired elements, privacy, and material performance are equally important. By helping bring nature indoors in a more abstracted and design-forward way, Arboretum supports spaces that feel more restorative, comforting, and visually engaging for occupants.

“Arboretum is about finding a way to translate the feeling of sitting among plants or out in a field into an interior material,” added Smith. “That sense of emotional connection is incredibly powerful, especially in spaces like healthcare where people may be navigating so much at once.”

Flexible, Cohesive System for Diverse Design Applications

When designing Arboretum, 3form carefully considered scale, density, translucency, and repeat across the collection’s various patterns and materials. These nature-inspired designs feel immersive without overwhelming a space, while preserving the durability, cleanability, and specification flexibility required for commercial interiors. This attention to detail allows designers to tailor the collection to different aesthetic, performance, and functional needs while maintaining a consistent approach across products and applications.

Arboretum is available across several of 3form’s material platforms. Varia panels with organic offerings are available in 4′ x 8′ and 4′ x 10′ and in 1/4″, 3/8″,1/2″, 3/4″, and 1” gauges. Varia Digital Print panels are offered in 4′ x 8′ and 4′ x 10′ and in 1/8″, 3/16” 1/4”, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, and 1” gauges. Monolithic Etched Glass is available in Low Iron and Clear Float, up to 4′ x 10′ panel size, and in 3/16″, 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2” gauges.

From feature walls and partitions to reception desks and enclosed spaces, Arboretum is designed to support a wide range of interior applications. With this launch, 3form continues its commitment to complete design systems, with solutions spanning from material to hardware, while further expanding its organic offerings in a way that balances biophilic beauty, material innovation, and architectural precision.
