3form Announces Installation Contest To Keep the Design Community Inspired
The Utah-based manufacturer is gifting $1000 to Design Within Reach and LightArt fixtures
During this unprecedented time, it’s important to keep finding a new creative impetus. In an effort to keep the design inspiration flowing, 3form is hosting an installation photo contest with an impressive grand prize: a $1000 gift card to Design Within Reach and a set of LightArt table lamps. The team will be looking for functional design applications with installations that solve a problem. Other considerations include innovation, environmental issues, and social good: If it’s a commercial building, does it contribute positively to the fabric of the community where it’s located? Are there any concepts or uses of 3form materials that make this project exceptional? Now seems like the time to think about our contributions to the world, and how we can work to better problem-solve and innovate.
To win, participants from the design & architecture community should submit photos of their favorite 3form installations they have worked on to the 3form website at www.3-form.com/contest–big, small, standard or custom, the competition aims simply to see creatives’ best work! After participants submit their photos, they can follow @3form on Instagram to see submissions highlighted throughout the month and vote for their favorite. 3form will announce the winning installation with the most votes during the first week of June.
The Fineprint
Entries are accepted beginning May 1, 2020, and must be submitted and received via the online entry system by 9pm PST on May 31, 2020. 3form wants to see any and all images showing how designers & architects have used 3form and LightArt in their projects, so anything goes with a small stipulation–please no watermarks, names, or logos. Consider sharing the process, materials, design challenges, innovative solutions, and significance in the big picture of design!
